Sudden flood waves may occur in the streambed, also due to dam operations. In the event of a controlled release, a siren will sound: a 3-minute acoustic signal made up of 5-second pulses. If the siren is heard, or if water levels rise, leave the streambed immediately and head to the trail entrance or exit, or move to higher ground.
