Seit \u00fcber 25 Jahren arbeitet am <\/span>Rossb\u00e4nke <\/b>eine meteorologische Station \u2013 leise, von Schnee umh\u00fcllt und vom Wind gepeitscht. <\/span>Sie ist Teil eines <\/span>nivo-meteorologischen Messnetzes aus <\/span>rund 100 automatischen <\/span>Stationen<\/span> in S\u00fcdtirol, die unentbehrliche Daten f\u00fcr <\/span>die<\/span> Wetter- und Klimaforschung liefern.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hier werden Lufttemperatur und -feuchtigkeit, Windgeschwindigkeit und -richtung, Schneeh\u00f6he und Sonneneinstrahlung gemessen. Seit 2024 ist die Station zudem mit einem innovativen System ausgestattet, das mithilfe von kosmischen Strahlen<\/b> den Wassergehalt der Schneedecke im Winter und des Bodens im Sommer bestimmt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die t\u00e4glich gesammelten Daten sind vielseitig nutzbar: Sie helfen bei Wetterprognosen, bei der Einsch\u00e4tzung der Lawinengefahr, bei der Verwaltung der Wasserressourcen und beim Verst\u00e4ndnis des Klimawandels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Ergebnisse sind eindeutig: W\u00e4hrend die globale Durchschnittstemperatur im Jahr 2024 bereits 1,28 \u00b0C \u00fcber dem vorindustriellen Niveau lag, sind es in den Alpen schon mehr als 2 \u00b0C. Damit geh\u00f6rt die alpine Kryosph\u00e4re zu den am st\u00e4rksten betroffenen Systemen weltweit.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Der KlimaPlan S\u00fcdtirol 2040<\/b> weist den Weg: Emissionen m\u00fcssen drastisch reduziert und Anpassungsma\u00dfnahmen beschleunigt werden. Denn hier oben gilt: Die Zukunft wird Flocke f\u00fcr Flocke gemessen.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n
